The Windsor Forest Colleges Group (WFCG) is aware of the recent UK Supreme Court decision regarding the definition of ‘woman’ under the Equality Act 2010. We recognise that this news may prompt questions among our staff and learners about its potential impact on them and our facilities.
Please be assured that WFCG’s dedication to supporting an inclusive and respectful atmosphere for everyone within our community is fundamental to our values.
Currently, WFCG will continue with its established inclusive practices as we actively monitor the situation for any specific directives from regulatory bodies, such as the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and the Department for Education (DfE). At present, no specific guidance for educational institutions has been issued.
We are committed to keeping you informed of any developments or adjustments to our practices once official guidance is released.
In the meantime, if you need support or have any specific worries, please do not hesitate to contact our pastoral or safeguarding teams, who are here to assist you.
Thank you for your continued contribution to maintaining a respectful and inclusive community for all at TWFCG.
