Financial Support
There are a number of options available to you if you need financial support during your time at college. Whether it’s for travel, childcare, free college meals, course materials or trips and visits, we have an option that you might be eligible for.
16 – 18 Bursaries
Bursaries of up to £1,200 per annum are available to young people in or leaving care, or in receipt of particular benefits. If you are aged 16-18 but do not qualify for this bursary, you may be eligible for our discretionary bursary, providing your household income is below £35,000 per annum. This could entitle you to a contribution towards your monthly transport costs and any compulsory course materials.
Applications
The college offers financial support to students with household incomes below £35,000 (after-tax) and those in local authority care or care leavers. Support covers a contribution towards travel costs, travel passes, childcare, and, in some cases, free meals. Apply early to avoid delays for September. Applications must be made annually, even if previously approved. Ensure all required evidence is provided to prevent delays. For help, contact 01753 793368 or [email protected].
