UAL Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts
What to expect from your audition
The interview will be a chance to get to know you and assess your interest in the subject. You will be asked to come prepared with a performance piece lasting approximately 2 minutes that demonstrates your main interest and experience to date. That can be a monologue, a song or a dance.
How to prepare for your audition
Auditions can be scary so be sure to pick a piece that you are confident with, and best demonstrates your strengths as a performer. – If you are choosing a monologue , we would expect you to have learned it but bring a copy with you as your interviewer is more than happy to prompt you should you need help. – For dance auditions, please bring your backing track with you. The studio will have speakers for you to connect your phone to. – If you are auditioning with a song, please bring your backing track with. Alternatively, a piano is available should you wish to play. If you are not interested in pursuing a course and a career in performance and are instead interested in Production Arts at Windsor, be prepared to demonstrate your passion or experience in this area during the interview, so think about what interests you in about a career backstage/behind the camera.
