Sew Like a Pro – Beginners (Saturday)
This is the perfect sewing course for you if you are a complete beginner wishing to have a thorough introduction to using a sewing machine, which will include looking at threading, bobbin filling, correct thread tension, with tips on troubleshooting and how avoid common user errors.
You will complete a selection of small samples and over the duration of the course, that will cover various staple sewing tasks, including exploring different sewing techniques, understanding basic sewing patterns and learning how to correctly cut them in fabric,
Entry Requirements
For this introductory course all the essential equipment you need will be provided. After guidance from the teacher you will be asked to bring in a short length of fabric and trimmings to make your projects. (approx. total spend £20 or you can source second-hand textiles that can be recycled into new projects).

You can choose to use one of our machines or you’re very welcome to bring your own if you’d like to learn to use it/build your confidence with it, there will be plenty of individual attention from the tutor. Learn to sew while making friends at the same time.
This course will take place for 2.5 hours a week for 8 weeks
Classbased
This course has no exam but will be assessed by outcome achieved by each learner. The teacher will want you to have made something you love.
