● Introduction to word processing and navigating the interface

● Formatting text (fonts, alignment, bold, underline, bullet points and numbered lists)
● Saving documents, creating folders, and printing
● Using spellcheck and understanding basic page layout
● Practical task: Create and format a short document.
The tutor will tailor the session to meet individual learner needs, focusing on the key word processing skills they want to develop and how they intend to use them in everyday life.

The course will be delivered face-to-face in a computer room at the college.
No written exams – just practical, supportive learning
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a college certificate.
Once you have completed this workshop, you will be ready to progress to an intermediate or advanced MS Word course, or another IT workshop from our programme.
