A Level Statistics

This course allows you to explore how the application of statistical methods makes sense of the world around us. With a solid background in GCSE Mathematics, you will learn proficiency in working with data and will gain important skills in data analysis, which are invaluable in numerous disciplines and professions. 

This course is taught at the Windsor College campus in Windsor, Berkshire, with access to specialist facilities and knowledgeable teaching staff.

Entry Requirements

GCSE grade 6 in Maths and GCSE grade 5 in English Language plus the standard entry requirements of an A Level or mixed programme.

Students will study probability, populations and samples, distributions, experimental design, hypothesis testing to develop the skills of statistical enquiry, and practise the underpinning statistical calculations and interpretation using real-world data and authentic contexts. These skills allow for progression to a range of other subjects and develops an awareness of statistics beyond the classroom.
